Thank You

A Bunch Of Deckheads. I trust you’re all well.

Firstly let me apologise for the not corresponding with you all last week. My laptop crashed and had to be repaired. I made a commitment to myself to blog every Friday be it an observation or with a view around matters of housekeeping for want of a better term.

A big thank you for those of you who attended the Bunch Of Deckheads Christmas Party. I genuinely enjoyed myself and it was nice catching up and learning more about those who attended.

On some good will shit! Speaking of those who attended Alex Coyle is looking for testers for his DJ converter app. Admittedly I haven’t done so myself but I didn’t want to just sit on it and not do anything about it.

Feel free to email your thoughts to Alex on

Also a fan of the Deckhead imprint Jonathan Ambrose has a mobile App which is a digital platform that connects DJs to partygoers. Methinks potentially there’s a mutually beneficial opportunity to be had.

Housekeeping. If you’ve given your availability and for whatever reason it changes throughout the course of the week please advise. Again please ensure that your initial availability is sent by

Finally. I finished reading David Goggins Can’t Hurt Me. A biography of an African American Navy Seal and Ultra Endurance athlete. Fascinating read. I wanted to share an exert with you which asks a question.

Heraclitus, a philosopher born in the Persian Empire back in the fifth century BC, had  it right when he wrote about men on the battlefield.

‘Out of every one hundred men’ He wrote

‘Ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior…’

Have a good one.
